So Tired, Tired of Waiting...

Tired of waiting for... where do I start?!? It's Tuesday and although work has been terribly boring of late (all day meetings and what not), the week is passing along at an acceptable pace. I don't want it to go too fast because I am really enjoying my taper but I also don't want it to drag because I'm super excited about the marathon on Sunday! Shall I start listing the reasons? For starters, it's the Cleveland Marathon for goodness sakes! We're talking home turf people! Lambeau Field in December! Psychologically, I feel as if I own the course, which hopefully will translate to a physical domination of the familiar terrain. My legs are relaxed. My mind is strong. Now if only I can get my heart to stay in my chest!

I'm excited for you... I'd love to train for this one, and get my brother (who lives up there near you) to start working on his distance. He ran the recent Cleveland Clinic 5k and did well, anyway maybe some year we will join you! Best wishes, enjoy the rest of the days leading up to the big race!! I look forward to the report!

Oh I am so there with ya! I am so excited and counting the days. This taper has been so nice but I am so looking forward to Sunday. My mind is totally elsewhere while I am at work this week...making plans for the expo, dinner Saturday and obsessively checking out the weather forecast!!!

Remind yourself, while running on the north marginal and then up West 3rd, that "I own this course"! Run tough! See you out there.
